FCS MR 78 Fins
Developed for use on twin fin surfboards by four time world title holder Australian surfer Mark Richards (aka MR), the FCS MR 78 fins are a simple and old school design that is extremely functional.
Known for his dominating surf style in any surf Mark Richards won four consecutive titles riding twin fin surfboards and this fin template.
By age 25 Mark Richards was already a legend as a pro surfer, but has also made a mark in the shaping world and to this day still spends time in the shop and shaping room.

Design and Feel
The FCS MR ‘78s are a specialty FCS fin set made for twin fin surfboards and are constructed using FCS Performance Glass material.
The Performance Glass material is designed to provide you, the surfer, with the feel of traditional fiberglass fins but with added durability. This makes them very responsive and great for surfers that are considering the transition from glass on fins to removable fins for the first time.
As far as fin flex goes, The FCS MR 78 fins are stiff fins due to their size and Performance Glass construction. Compared to the other FCS MR fins (M.R. TFX and M.R.-TX) in the FCS series, the MR 78 is stiffer and slightly larger and does not have a stabilizer fin.
The fin base of the M.R. ‘78 fins is 5.19” (132mm) and they have a depth of 6.05” (154mm). It is actually one of the deepest removable surfboard fins offered by FCS. The total fin area of these twin fins measure 22.99”2 (14830mm2) and the fin sweep is set to 29.3 degrees.
Since the MR 78s are for twin fin boards there is no center fin with this FCS fin set.

The Look
