FCS M5 Fins
The FCS M5 Fins are the most popular FCS fins from the M-series.
These surf fins are based off of the popular G5 fin template designed for the average weight surfer.
Like all three fins from the M-Series the M5 fins are made with FCS’ Glass Flex construction.

Design and Feel
With the M5 fins, FCS has focused on creating a tri fin set for the average size surf that will allow you to surf fast and smooth without sliding out when making turns.
By using their Glass flex construction these fins feature an almost identical flex pattern to that of traditional fiberglass fins.
In addition Inside Fin Technology has also allowed FCS' to provide you with a removable fin set that has superior drive and hold.
As the FCS M5 fins are designed for the average size surfer you will notice that their measurements sit right between that of the M3 fins and M7 fins.
These fins feature a base of 4.37” (111mm) , 4 mm less than that of the M7 and 2 mm more than the base of the M3 fins.
They also have a depth of 4.55” (115mm) and a total fin area of 14.76”2 (9525mm2) .
The sweep of the M5’s however is identical to that of the M7 's set at 33⁰, and are therefore 2 degrees more than the M3’s.
Wave Conditions
The M5 fins are great all round fins and can be used in any surf conditions. These fins quite often are sold with surfboards bought directly from board manufacturers and in surf shops.
The Look
The M5 FCS fins feature the M-Series signature art work. This is a clear / white fin with a cool blue figure 8 design.
Surfer Specifications
The M5s are designed for the average size / weight surfer. It is therefore recommended that you purchase these surfboard fins if you are in the weight range of 130 - 180 pounds or weigh between 60 - 80 kg.
